Monsanto: Inheriting the earth
A few months back before this blog was born, I tweeted about how Monsanto is genetically modifying practically everything we eat. They already run the corn industry which is sterilized so farmers are forced to purchase more seed, not to mention they've tricked ORGANIC
farmers to forcefully use their seeds as well. They are pretty much running the country (world?) as well. If you don't believe me check out former Monsanto lawyer Michael Taylor, who was appointed by the White House as chief advisor for the FDA in 2009. Recently new leaks have been available to the ever so awesome nation of the internet - in which it states that more of U.S diplomats are working for Monsanto. An interesting quote from the leak states that in 2007 "specific nations inside the European Union be punished for not supporting the expansion of Monsanto's GMO crops." They call it 'target retaliation'
"Country team Paris recommends that we calibrate a target retaliation list that causes some pain across the EU since this is a collective responsibility, but that also focuses in part on the worst culprits. The list should be measured rather than vicious and must be sustainable over the long term, since we should not expect an early victory. Moving to retaliation will make clear that the current path has real costs to EU interests and could help strengthen European pro-biotech voices."
The leak also indicates that the FDA and USDA allowed the injection of Monsanto's synthetic hormone Posilac into U.S. cows although it's been banned in multiple countries. Of course they were able to get the approval since their own people are working in the FDA.
The leaks go on about other diplomats or "pawns in their game". Monsanto is not the only one who's getting FDA permission to use synthetic hormones, there's the salmon story as well were these salmon are being fed all kinds of psychiatric drugs-which haven't been tested despite the approval of the FDA(LET ALONE LABELED!!). WTF right?!! Read more about it on the links below, and I'll keep you posted more on this sad sad little story. In the mean time read up on everything you eat and remember even "organic" foods have been tampered with.

Kendall Research's devices could make optogenetics research much more practical.
Optogenetics can use lights to control cells in the brain to manipulate behavior of its host and maybe one day deliver treatment.
Kendall Research has been able to developed a small, lightweight "wireless" prototypes. Much smaller then previous ones used which
were bulky and made it difficult to work with. The devices will be used on mice and other small animals.
Optogenetics can genetically alter certain cells allowing them to respond to light signals, and stimulate them with a laser to turn
cells off or on. The previous prototypes would use lasers, but with these new devices Kendall was able to use LED's which makes the
device much more compact allowing the test subject to move freely.
Casey Halpern, one of several researchers beta-testing the device says "You almost can't do any behavioral experiment in a meaningful way.."
If by meaningful you mean the leaders of the new world will be able to literally control their people in the near future, then yes. Yes it can...
Ok, so maybe it's not at that level and we're not doomed just yet..
